Spring is in the air and it is time for a dress code reminder.
Here are the most common infractions & ones we have already seen this week:
*Clothes shall be sufficient to conceal undergarments at all times. See-through or fish-net fabrics halter tops, off-the-shoulder or low-cut tops, bare midriffs and skirts or shorts shorter than mid-thigh are prohibited. No lingerie or look-alike lingerie allowed.
*Skin tight pants or shorts are not appropriate for general school wear.
*Gym shorts may not be worn in class other than physical education.
*Clothing, jewelry shall be free of writing, pictures or any other insignia which are crude, vulgar, profane or sexually suggestive or which advocate racial, ethnic or religious prejudice or the use of drugs, alcohol or tobacco.
The first infraction is a warning, a call home and clothing must be changed. The second infraction and beyond is a detention, a call home and a change of clothing. Repeat offenders will receive a Saturday School.
We are so much better than this! Please click the link to read a message from Superintendent Lewis. Our boys' restrooms are being vandalized and damaged. Responsible students will be charged for damages and appropriate discipline will be assigned.

MHS Families: Please help us keep our kiddos safe. It seems some of our students have forgotten how to safely cross the street. Please remind them to get off their phones, look both ways, and pay attention to traffic. See below for a message from Superintendent Lewis. https://bit.ly/3OFMfc5
Senior Parents — please remind your student to log into Google Classroom and complete the Sober Grad RSVP form as soon as possible.
The Project Grad Committee has planned a fun and safe celebration for graduates immediately following graduation, and we want to make sure everyone who plans to attend is accounted for. The event will include activities, music, prizes, and more for those who participate.
Encourage your senior to submit their RSVP so we can celebrate this milestone together!

Subject: MAP Testing Begins Monday—Here’s How You Can Help
Dear Braves,
Starting Monday, February 9, students will begin NWEA MAP testing, which will continue through the following week. These important assessments help us understand how your child is growing in reading and math, and they guide our next steps as educators.
Here’s how you can support your student during MAP testing:
✨ Make sure they get a good night’s sleep
✨ Encourage a healthy breakfast
✨ Avoid scheduling appointments or absences during the school day
MAP tests aren’t timed, and students will test on different days—so being at school every day really matters.
As always, thank you for sharing your children with us. When schools, families and communities work together, kids grow and everyone wins.
With appreciation,
K.B.
