Modoc Joint Unified Families, Students, and Staff,

We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with Clayful, a service that provides on-demand, chat-based, non-clinical coaching for students. 4th through 12th grade students will have access to a community of Certified Coaches to help them build healthy habits for success. This service will be provided for FREE to all Modoc Joint Unified School District students. Check out Clayful's parent videoto learn more! This video offers great information about what Clayful offers, how it is structured and monitored for safety, and more.

Why did MJUSD choose this partnership/resource for our students? There is no doubt that the last few years have been extremely challenging for our students (adults, too!). Our mental health team, along with teachers and administrators, have noticed an increase in the need for student support, however, not all of these needs require mental health services. We saw a need for something "in between," where students could access the support of an adult when they wanted to talk, but without necessarily having to engage in mental health services. This is where Clayful comes in by offering on-the-spot coaching support for our students. If a student is nervous about a test, worried about a friend, or struggling with how to ask their teacher for help, they have access to someone to bounce ideas off of to build a plan for success.

How does my student sign up? All students will be creating a Clayful account in their classroom during the next couple of weeks of school. It is important that all students have an account even if they do not ever participate in coaching because Clayful also offers an interactive journal that

some classes will be using in their classrooms. If you do not want your child to participate in Clayful, please email or call your student’s site to share your concerns.

Where can I get more information or ask questions about Clayful? You can click here for Clayful's frequently asked questions resource for families.

Our team is excited to bring this additional resource to our students and campus. We will share updates with you as we learn more about how our students use Clayful throughout the year.
