Smiling students at a meeting

Our Modoc Middle School Rotary Interact Club was honored today by the Modoc County Board of Supervisors for their outstanding work in raising funds to combat Polio worldwide. Club officers Easton Knight, Adres Lopez, Irvin Salazar, and Paisley Knight along with Advisor Keith Weber were present to accept a special proclamation from the board. This year's students raised over $1000 by holding a school dance in October. The money raised was matched 2 to 1 by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation through the Alturas Rotary Club and will be used to provide Polio vaccinations around the world. Congratulations to this special group of students.
